Brunsdon: Geographically weighted regression: GWmodel package

Date & time: Wednesday 19 August 2015, 13.30-17.00

Objective: To provide insight into the use of local statistics and geographically weighted approaches to identify spatial heterogeneity in data.

General description: This session consists of a lecture and a practical exercise designed to provide an introduction to the ideas underlying geographically weighted exploratory techniques,  in particular local statistics and principal component analysis.   Although [prior knowledge of R is not a requirement,  some familiarity may be helpful in working through the exercises and gaining an understanding of how various results are achieved.
